On Saturday, my wife went to the
Buns and Roses Romance Tea for Literacy. The idea, basically, is to get a number
of authors together for a tea, and charge money for members of the public to
attend; all proceeds go to the local Adult Literacy Center. The Beautiful Woman
returned from the event with a couple of small plastic trains, which were
probably intended to be Christmas ornaments. These were a sort of guest-gift
from the author at whose table she was seated.
Theron, of course, saw no reason to use them for
decorations; but then, as far as he's concerned, the world is a playground and
everything in it is some sort of toy.
